Mlungisi Kitsana was among the people who were stabbed, shot and killed at a house in the township.

"This incident came as a shock to us because we usually buy from the shop near where the killings took place. We are shocked at the way Mlungisi was killed," said his aunt Pitiwe Slike.

Police are appealing to the public for information that could lead to arrests.

"It's not where we'd like we are getting information here and there. That is why I want to use this opportunity to call upon the public to come forward with information," said District Commissioner Vuyisile Ncata.
