JOHANNESBURG - The Basic Education Department has announced that delayed payments to assistant educators, have started flowing from Wednesday morning.
According to the Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube teaching assistants had been waiting for almost seven days for payments that were supposed to have gone into their accounts at the end of September.

She condemned this citing while they have a responsibility to assess how this happened she also stressed on efforts to ensure that this does not happen again.
