POTCHEFSTROOM - Eight people have been killed in a crash involving a minibus taxi and a truck in Potchefstroom in the North West.
The collision happened on Friday at the intersection of the R500 and R42.
According to reports, the truck, which was transporting manganese, failed to stop at a stop street before colliding with the taxi.

The taxi was carrying 13 occupants.
Six men, a woman, and a child died in the crash, while five others are seriously injured.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation has dispatched a team of investigators to determine the exact cause.
