Electricity restored in Jagersfontein

JOHANNESBURG - Electricity has been restored to Jagersfontein in the Free State.

It was cut off after this weekend's mine dam collapse.

Mud had engulfed the substation and the area was inaccessible to workers for some time.

In a statement earlier, Eskom says technicians worked around the clock to install and energise a replacement transformer at another substation.
