DURBAN - Crowds gathered to protest after an eight-year-old Aphelele Dlamini fell to his death in a Durban building’s elevator shaft.

The community is demanding justice for the family.
Aphile and Aphelele Dlamini were playing on the fourth floor when they plummeted to the basement.
The boy died, and his twin sister is in a coma.
Their father is also questioning the conduct of the police, saying they visited the scene only days later, and misplaced his initial statement.
Police have confirmed opening an inquest docket for investigation.
Authorities have advised Dlamini to report the alleged police misconduct to the station commander or police watchdog, IPID.
