GQEBERHA - The South African Municipal Workers Union says the termination of overtime pay for Nelson Mandela Bay municipality employees severely affects service delivery in the metro.
Other pressing issues include over a thousand unfilled vacancies, unpaid scarce skills allowances, and incomplete job evaluations.
Nelson Mandela Bay Metro spent R415-million on overtime in the 2024-2025 financial year.
