Eskom announces Stage 6 power cuts until further notice
The power utility says this is due to the failure of several units that could not be returned to service.
JOHANNESBURG - Eskom is implementing Stage 6 power cuts from 4pm, until further notice.
The power utility says this is due to the failure of several units that could not be returned to service.
In addition to this, several other units experienced breakdowns.
They are now also due for service.
Breakdowns are currently at over 19,000 megawatts.
Eskom says Stage 6 is likely to be in place for the week.
