JOHANNESBURG - Power utility, Eskom, continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons.
This time, the National Press Club has named the utility and blackouts, 2022 Newsmakers of the year.
The award is based on the amount of media coverage received and the subsequent impact.
It's not the first time the utility has earned the title, it was named newsmaker in 2008 and again in 2019.
The National Press Club has been naming an annual newsmaker since 1980.
They include Nelson Mandela and FW de Klerk, the Gupta leaks and COVID-19.
