CAPE TOWN - It's going to cost millions of rand to upgrade Cape Town's sewer pump stations to handle increasing rolling blackouts.

That's the word from Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis after yet another beach was temporarily closed due to contamination.

Over six sewage spills have led to the temporary closure of five Cape Town beaches since November last year.
