Explosion reported on Bree Street, Joburg

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg community policing forums have released a statement saying they are aware of an explosion on Bree Street, near Eloff, in central Johannesburg.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the blast, but the statement says it is possibly from gas lines underground.

The public has been asked to steer clear of the area as emergency services make their way there.
