The active crime scene has resulted in a complete road closure at the intersection of Crownwood Road and Rente Street in Ormonde.
Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Xolani Fihla said law enforcement officials are presently on-site processing the area.
To ensure public safety and to preserve the integrity of the scene, Fihla said the roadway will remain inaccessible until further notice
“Motorists should expect heavy delays on all routes approaching the Ormonde area, particularly the M1 Highway” he added.
While traffic is being diverted by officers on the ground, motorists have been urged to seek alternative routes to reach their destinations.
