Fear of abductions hold South Africans to ransom

JOHANNESBURG - It’s become the worst fear for many families.

A loved one being kidnapped, with the possibility they may never return.

Police statistics paint an incredibly bleak and scary picture.

In the 2022/2023 fiscal year, over 15,000 cases were reported.

This week, two women were rescued from a Joburg-based human trafficking ring preying on Indian women.

At the same time, a mother is reeling after her daughter was nearly kidnapped at a mall in the South of Joburg.
