DURBAN - South Africa and Norway are promoting collaboration for sustainable fisheries management to ensure food security and tackle climate change.
The two countries celebrated a milestone in one of the world’s longest-running marine research and management initiatives in Durban.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Norwegian-led EAF-Nansen programme supported by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization.
The programme’s state-of-the-art research vessel, Dr Fridtjof Nansen, docked at the Port of Durban as part of the celebrations.
