Free State urges small businesses to comply for government support

BETHLEHEM - Small businesses must comply with all government requirements to qualify for support, and, crucially, to help root out undocumented foreign nationals running unregistered businesses.

That’s the advice from Free State Economic Development MEC, Ketso Makume.

He spoke in Bethlehem during the handover of business equipment to 119 Department of Small Business Development beneficiaries.

They received much-needed tools of trade for their businesses.

Informal traders, small business owners and beneficiaries said this is the much-needed relief after years of struggle.

Makume said compliance by small to medium businesses will also solve one of the current issues plaguing the country, undocumented migrants.

Makume has warned recipients and beneficiaries not to sell the business tools they have received for their businesses.
