Freedom Day | Winde: ANC rule has destroyed all hope

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Premier Alan Winde says the hope of the people needs to be restored.

He was speaking at a Freedom Day event in Cape Town.

The premier says 29 years of ANC rule have destroyed people's rights and freedoms.

"South Africa was full of hope, people queued for days to bring about a new democracy," says Winde.

"The hope was infectious, the world noticed it." 

Winde says many South Africans are not able to celebrate due to the crises they face.
