JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Education department says parents can apply to have their children placed in schools from the day the system opens until the closing date.

Online admissions for Grade 1 and Grade 8 pupils open on the 24th of July and close on the 29th of August.
The department is confident the system has improved and will be mucher smoother for pupils that need space in 2026.
