JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Department of Education Gauteng affirms that it has allocated funds to schools across the province plunged in municipal debt.
According to spokesperson Steve Mabona funds were transferred to accounts of all identified schools in June.
The schools and their respective SGBs will take full responsibility for ensuring that their municipal accounts are settled and paid on time.
This is to avoid any water and electricity cuts, Mabona says.
