MULDERSDRIFT - For EMS personnel, every second can mean the difference between life and death, but in Muldersdrift, staff said they’re battling their own emergencies.
Gauteng EMS staff are sounding the alarm over what they describe as unsafe and inadequate working conditions at a new base in Muldersdrift.
They said a lack of basic facilities, security and reliable navigation tools could put both paramedics and patients at risk.
This comes as R2.1-billion was allocated to emergency response, infrastructure and technology in the province.
Attempts to get comment from the Gauteng Health Department were unsuccessful at the time of broadcast.
