Gauteng metros | DA vows to fight for Tshwane, Ekurhuleni

Former Joburg Mayor Mpho Phalatse says the DA shouldn't be ruled out yet from protecting Tshwane and Ekurhuleni as they window-shop other parties.

JOHANNESBURG - Former Joburg Mayor Mpho Phalatse says it would be disappointing to see ActionSA work with the ANC to regain Tshwane.

Briefing the media on Monday, Phalatse says the DA shouldn't be ruled out yet from protecting Tshwane and Ekurhuleni as they window-shop other parties.

"It would be a very sad day if ActionSA were to work with the ANC," she said.

"I heard they are considering taking Tshwane. If the rumours are true it would be a sad day indeed."

The ANC says it’s still talking with other parties, with its next target being Tshwane.
