JOHANNESBURG - The deadline for Gauteng online school admissions will not be extended.
Gauteng Education has issued the warning as the window will soon close.
Parents of Grade 1 and 8 pupils have until midnight to apply for spaces in schools next year.
The Department says around 50,000 applications have been submitted without proper documents.
Gauteng Education Department spokesperson Steve Mabona said, "Since we started with the process, we have received over 800,000 applications."
He said a sizeable number of applicants have not completed the forms correctly, some applications have missing documents.
Mabona said, "If you don’t complete you application, we will not be able to place [the learners]."
The 12 September deadline for the online admissions will not be extended according to Mabona.
