Gauteng school placements | Pupils still scrambling to secure spots

JOHANNESBURG - We're seven weeks into the new academic year and some Gauteng pupils still don't have a desk.

In Diepsloot, parents are still queuing outside schools just to find a spot for their children.

Parents on Friday held a meeting with officials.

One of the parents waiting at the Muzomuhle Primary School said she registered last year but when schools reopened, the children were not placed.

She also said they still haven't received any correspondence as to what is happening with placements.
