GBV Epidemic | 'A nation that kills its own flowers'

KWADUKUZA - As the country comes together to honour women and their essential roles in society this women’s month, several families are grieving the loss of loved ones who've fallen victim to Gender-Based Violence. 

A significant number of these families come from KwaZulu-Natal.

Gender-Based Violence doesn't just result in physical harm; it has a profound and lasting impact on a person's mental, emotional, and financial well-being. 

Survivors often deal with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. 

The trauma can affect their ability to work, study, and maintain relationships. But who are the people behind the statistics?
