Zulu denies bungling R100m meant for GBV survivors

JOHANNESBURG - The Social Development Minister denies bungling R100-million meant to empower GBV survivors.

Lindiwe Zulu is accused of handing over the money from the Criminal Assets Recovery Account to the NDA.

But opposition parties say she maintained no oversight over the disbursement of the monies.

They allege it went to undeserving organisations.

Zulu, however, says the National Development Agency must account.

"It would be good for South Africans, in general, to get statements which are issued, to read that statements," the minister said.

The statement clearly tells us, where did the money go to and I came in to a system wich had already been logged in, agreed upon and the NDA is the one that is accountable to all these monies."
