General Tommy Mthombeni appointed new Gauteng Police Commissioner

JOHANNESBURG - Tommy Mthombeni has been announced as the new Gauteng Police Commissioner.

The announcement was made by National Police Commissioner, Fanie Masemola.

Mthombeni's appointment comes after Elias Mawela retired in January.

He says that he will continue from where his predecessor left off.

He also outlined some of the crime fighting efforts he will focus on in the province.
