JOHANNESBURG - As extreme weather continues to put South Africans in desperate situations, the Gift of the Givers says it is inundated by calls for help from flood victims.
The aid organisation has set up a full-scale humanitarian operation in Saldanha Bay.
Areas affected by the floods include Khayelitsha, Mitchell's Plain, Macassar, Nyanga and the Cape Winelands.
Relief efforts will include the distribution of hot meals, blankets, warm clothing, essential hygiene products and emergency supplies.
