DURBAN - Three men accused of killing seven members of the Monswamy family have abandoned their bail bid.
They were arrested last week after the bodies of the victims were found in Melmoth in Kwa-Zulu-Natal.
Emotions ran high outside the KwaDukuza Magistrate's Court where suspects were appearing.
Community members called for them to be released to them so they can deal with them.
This as they claim that prison conditions are too lenient for offenders.
"There's no one taking action for anything. Even the government, I blame the government itself. If these criminals go to jail, they are being treated well. Why does a person who has to do bad things, supposed to be treated well in the jail? Why?"
The victims were reported missing during a suspected house robbery.
Police say one more suspect remains on the run.
