Government to assess flood damage in Mpumalanga

MPUMALANGA - Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister, Velenkosini Hlabisa will be visiting flood-affected areas of Mpumalanga. 

The visit follows persistent heavy rainfall that has triggered flooding across parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

Roads, bridges, homes and infrastructure have been damaged. 

Several households have been displaced, livelihoods disrupted and access to basic services affected.

Government says the oversight visit will assess the extent of the damage and evaluate the effectiveness of current relief efforts.
