Groenewald explains why he stepped down as FF Plus leader

JOHANNESBURG - Correctional Services Minister Pieter Groenewald says he stepped down as Freedom Front Plus leader to focus on his ministerial duties.

Groenewald acknowledges that leading a political party while serving in government proved too much.

He was replaced by Corne Mulder last week.

Groenewald has spoken out, claiming that white people are facing discrimination in South Africa.

He also criticised the Expropriation Act and says the party is challenging it in court.

eNCA's Heidi Giokos sat down with Groenewald to find out why he stepped down as Freedom Front Plus leader and asked him about his views on AfriForum and Solidarity, the issue of land in South Africa, his role as Correctional Services minister and the challenges faced in prisons.
