Groenewald urges voters to shape SA’s future at ballot box

PRETORIA - Freedom Front Plus MP Pieter Groenewald has urged South Africans to use their votes to change the country's future.

The party has unveiled its manifesto ahead of local government elections in November.

Groenewald serves as Correctional Services Minister in the government of National Unity.

He said the 2024 elections showed that South Africans wanted change, when they ended the ANC's outright majority.

"Many people ask me, but is there hope for the future of South Africa? And I say, of course. And why do I say there is hope? In 2024, the voters of South Africa, the people of South Africa brought hope.

“Because the people in 2024 said, we are not going to continue the way we go in South Africa. And they decided there's not going to be one single political party as the ANC to govern us for the future. They've changed that. The people of South Africa.

Now my appeal to the people of South Africa is if we say we want hope and I believe everyone believe that we will have hope, is that make sure you go and vote."
