HAMMANSKRAAL - Water remains a thorny issue for Hammanskraal residents.
They raised concerns about service delivery failures during the ANC's local election campaign.
The area north of Pretoria was the epicentre of a Cholera outbreak in May 2023.
More than 30 people died, but access to clean drinking water remains a problem.
''As residents of Hammanskraal we're faced with major challenges. Again, the issue of water: it's stinky and has faeces inside, we're without water for seven days; we're saying people died because of this water. We want clean water; the President should address it as a basic need,'' a resident said.
