JOHANNESBURG - Feared Mamelodi taxi boss, Vusi Mathibela, and his accomplices Sipho Hudla, Matamela Mutapa, Bonginkosi Khumalo, have been shown no mercy by the courts.
They were each sentenced to 30 years behind bars, for the murder of Wandile Bozwana and the attempted murder of his female companion.
They were also slapped with 30 years direct imprisonment for premeditated murder, with an additional 10 years for attempted murder, 6 years for possession of a firearm and 2 years for possession of ammunition.
The court ordered the sentences to run concurrently.
Bozwana was ambushed and killed at the Garsfontein off-ramp, after being followed from Sandton by the accused back in 2015.
