KWANONGOMA - There's a hive of activity at Enyokeni Palace ahead of the reed dance on Saturday but some members of the  AmaZulu Royal House are attempting to halt the event.

The faction affiliated to Prince Simakade has been up in arms, saying they do not recognise King Misuzulu kaZwelithini as the king.

Prince Thulani Zulu said, "preparations are underway as we speak. Senior princes are arriving in Enyokeni. There's been confusion on whether the reed dance will continue here. There's been calls to move it to Kwakhangela due to security concerns..."

"Umkhosi womhlanga has been held in Enyokeni since 1984."
