Hundreds of miners refuse to resurface at Springs mine

JOHANNESBURG - Hundreds of miners have refuses to resurface at Gold One mine in Springs.

The sit-in is the second protest over labour disputes and union recognition at the mine.

Mine owners halted production in November as the conflict between workers and mine management continued.

Workers were calling for union AMCU to be formally recognised as their representative.
