JOHANNESBURG - EFF Johannesburg mayoral candidate Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng said she is ready to serve.
She has asked for support from fellow party members to rebuild the city of gold.
Mofokeng was speaking at the party's manifesto rally.
“Here's what I'm asking from all of you Johannesburg fighters in the arena. Create Johannesburg with us, so we can focus on structural changes that are required for sustainable change.
“Create Johannesburg, create Jozi with us where it's a collective mandate is to continue to question every single thing we are inheriting in that council and to accept that nothing is just the way things are.
“In order to move fast to where we need to go in terms of our economy, social, health, development, peace and security, you need the EFF and me as your leader in the City of Johannesburg who is multifaceted and comes to this job inspired, energetic, agile, with a technical expertise and a world-renowned expertise.
“I'm ready to serve you and to be in partnership with various sectors and citizens.,” she said.
