Jet fuel supplies remain stable

JOHANNESBURG - Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) confirmed that jet fuel supplies at major airports remain stable despite an unplanned shutdown at the Natref refinery.

The outage could affect jet fuel availability from early September through early October.

The company said contingency plans are in place, including increased coastal imports and closer coordination with industry stakeholders.

OR Tambo, Natref's biggest customer, currently has between five and six days of fuel cover, while reserves at other airports remain secure.

ACSA said it is monitoring stock levels daily to avoid any disruption to airport operations.
