Joburg metro | Suspects in court over hijacked building

JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Public Safety MMC Mgcini Tshwaku says they've started the process of recovering hijacked buildings.

But he warns it will be a long process until they crack the syndicate operating in the CBD.

The newly-launched JMPD Tactical Reaction Unit recently recovered a building hijacked for over 20 years.

Two of those suspects were arrested and are expected to appear at the Hillbrow magistrate’s court on Monday.
