Johnson is accused of interfering in Crime Intelligence Head Feroz Khan's assault case.
According to the council's executive secretary, Lawson Naidoo, given the nature of the allegations leveled against her, they are increasingly worrying.
According to Naidoo, IDAC, one of the foremost anti-corruption agencies recently established within the NPA and operates on a prosecution-led investigative strategy.
As such, it is an incredibly important position.
"So, allegations against a senior member of that, in this case, the head of that institution, are extremely important, and the public will be rightly concerned about these allegations. This is why I say, they need to be dealt with speedily,' Naidoo said.
