SALDANHA BAY - It's been a year since six-year-old Joshlin Smith disappeared from outside her home in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Despite multiple searches and the arrest of several people, including her own mother, Racquel 'Kelly' Smith, not a trace has been found.
Smith had been left in the care of her mother's boyfriend, Jacquen Appollis, when she went missing.
Kelly, Appollis, and their friend Steveno van Rhyn are charged with kidnapping and human trafficking and their trial is expected to begin next month.
Provincial police officials say the investigation and search operations continue.
