'Justice delayed is justice denied' - #NotInMyName

JOHANNESBURG - The murder of twin boys in Mamelodi has sparked outrage and demands for swift justice.

As the community mourns the 14-year-old brothers, concerns are mounting over delays in bringing those responsible to justice.

The organisation Not In My Name said police must be given space to investigate but insists there can be no unnecessary delays in a case involving the deaths of two children.

"It's really distressing... Police in the country seem not to take these types of crimes seriously," the movement said.

The twins were discovered by their mother inside their home on Friday.

Relatives said their cellphones and a PS4 console were among the items reportedly stolen during the attack.

There were reportedly no signs of forced entry, raising suspicions among the family that the perpetrator may have been known to the boys.

No arrests have been made yet.

"Justice delayed is justice denied," they added.
