Justice for Meyiwa | Magistrate back on the witness stand

PRETORIA - Magistrate Vivian Cronje is back on the witness stand in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial within a trial.

On Friday, Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng ruled the recording of an alleged confession will not be admitted.

He found that Bongani Ntanzi was recorded without consent and his rights were therefore violated.

Lawyers will now continue the trial into the admissibility of two confessions.

The accused claim they were tortured into making the statements.

It’s almost a decade since the Bafana Bafana star was killed at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s home in Voslorus.

The five men accused of the murder say they’re being made scapegoats.
