Justice Yvonne Mokgoro to be laid to rest

JOHANNESBURG - Former Constitutional Court Justice Yvonne Mokgoro will be laid to rest today.

Mokgoro passed away following an extended period of illness in hospital, related to a car accident from which she never recovered.

She will be honoured with a Category 1 special official funeral.

In 1994, she became the first black woman to serve on the Constitutional Court, spending 15-years on the bench.
