PIETERMARITZBURG - Law enforcement authorities are keeping a close eye on Easter holidaymakers.
This comes as measures have been put in place to curb the usual spike in crime and road accidents during the short Easter holiday.
Premier Thami Ntuli says there are different operations in full swing within the province.
In one of these operations in Pietermaritzburg, Ntuli says 23 undocumented foreign nationals were arrested, he said.
"These operations do not only look at the road worthiness of cars but also prevent transportation of illegal goods and firearms as well as stolen vehicles," he said.
