DURBAN - A man accused of raping 14 women in KwaZulu-Natal will remain behind bars after his case was postponed to 28 September.
The 46-year-old appeared in court after police allegedly linked him to the cases through DNA evidence.
The suspect, who can't be named until an identity parade has been conducted, is accused of multiple charges of rape, housebreaking and attempted murder.

Police said he allegedly targeted women at night, followed them home from taverns where he allegedly raped them and robbed them of their belongings.
The suspect is being held at Westville Correctional Centre.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Thami Ntuli, says the arrest should serve as a warning to perpetrators of gender-based violence that they cannot evade the law.
Ntuli said authorities are working to link other cases and bring serial offenders to court.
"It's unfortunate that we've learned that there are a number of serial rapists in the province of KwaZulu-Natal," he said.
