Land grabs costing Polokwane

POLOKWANE - The city of Polokwane plans to buy invaded land from its private owner, with the intention of providing services to its illegal occupants.

But the municipality faces a new dilemma as it deals with another invasion in the same area.

Officials say 20 percent of the 120-hectare property owned by businessman Joseph Brenner is illegally occupied.

And despite the municipality threatening to evict the new invaders, they vow they're going nowhere.
