Lesufi gives progress report on presidential directives

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi reports that 21 presidential directives are already complete. He updated the province on its fight against GBV and femicide.

This progress follows presidential directives and a four-point plan to combat the scourge.

"Today is the 1st of November, it is approximately day 33 of the 90 day period that the President gave us. Of the 67 specific directives, 21 have been fully completed, 38 are underway and eight have not yet started. Four directives have moved into the implementation stage.

"The provincial government has recovered crime kits from all five districts for processing to strengthen evidence management," he said.
