JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Government has promised Soweto residents that their electricity woes will soon be a thing of the past.

Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi engaged with residents on Sunday.

The area owes Eskom almost R5-billion in unpaid bills, a debt Lesufi wants written off.

But is this possible amid the country's worsening electricity crisis?
