Lillian Ngoyi street set to reopen in 10 days

JOHANNESBURG - After over two years of delays to repairing Lilian Ngoyi Street in the Johannesburg CBD, officials finally announce the road will reopen on the 12th of September.

An underground gas explosion in July 2023 severely damaged the road, killing one person, and injuring many. 

eNCA's Nabeelah Shaikh spoke to the Johannesburg Roads Agency.

 

But, there are concerns about the quality of the repairs. One taxi association believes the paved road won't last.
