PRETORIA - Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria has resorted to relying on water tankers, a reservoir, and water storage capacity bolstered by boreholes.
This comes as the hospital in Pretoria West has been facing low water pressure as a result of a burst pipe near the railway on Tuesday.

Gauteng Department of Health (GDH) said this incident has affected the facility's operations, including Outpatient Department (OPD) clinics, HR offices, casualty section, and the resuscitation unit.
"The hospital has an existing water storage capacity sufficient for two to four days, bolstered by two boreholes, four sectional tanks, and a reservoir," the province's health department said
Furthermore, GDH said outpatient appointments in affected clinics are being rescheduled.
"Members of the public seeking non-emergency medical care are advised to visit alternative healthcare facilities until the water pressure stabilises," he said.
