PIETERMARITZBURG - One of the star witnesses in the Chief Albert Luthuli murder inquest says he’s in the dark about why the initial 1967 inquest didn't summon him to give evidence.
Mahomed Manjoo is a former Stanger hospital clerk and switchboard operator.
He received a call about the train accident that claimed to have taken the life of the Nobel laureate in July 1967, and saw him when he was brought in.
Evidence leaders are expected to call more expert witnesses when the inquest resumes on Monday.
