DURBAN - Day four of the Madlanga Commission has wrapped up.
National Police Commissioner, Fannie Masemola, was in the hot seat on Monday.
The first witness, KZN police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, named names and detailed alleged infiltration and corruption of the criminal justice system last week.
He warned of an imminent collapse of the justice system if no urgent interventions are made to stop the rot.
Masemola was questioned on his role in the South African Police Service and the legality of certain instructions.
He also spoke about the establishment of the political killings task team, as well as its track record of success, and possible motivations for its disbandment.
